DFA-5 Differential Amplifier
The DFA-5 is a low voltage differential amplifier for test and measurement applications. The unit is small, light weight and low cost. It can run for days on its internal battery or be powered from an external power source. DFA-5 provides gain settings from 1x to
1000x and may be used as either a differential mode or a single ended mode amplifier. With common mode noise
rejection that exceeds 100dB, DFA-5 makes low voltage measurements straight forward. The unit is suitable for use with
oscilloscopes and other common test equipment.
DFA-5 is designed to amplify differential signals ranging from several Volts down to microvolts. Gains of 1X to 100X, and
1000X are switch selected with a gain accuracy of 1%. Maximum frequency depends on the gain setting ranging from 20KHz at a gain of 1000X to over 1MHz at unity gain. The unit allows for both AC and DC coupling with the AC mode low frequency cutoff being 10Hz using non attenuating probes.
